The idea of a trade war has brought some attention to agriculture, and most producers aren’t really used to being front page news. Commodity brokers have a completely different view of trade policy than farmers, largely because our time-scales are so different. Soy bean producers purchased their seed months ago, so really aren’t in a position to change their planting strategy.
